New Weezer - “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations On A Shaker Hymn),” “Troublemaker,” “Heart Songs,” And “Thought I Knew”

We've all consumed a few servings of "Pork And Beans," so it's about time additional Red-era tunes have popped up to provide Weezer fans nourishment. "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn)" is as epic as its title, though perhaps not as free of ornamentation as the Shakers might like it (see: the siren that rings throughout the first section, or the acoustic breakdown ... and, well, Rivers and his sex talk, Shakespeare references, and "I am the greatest" taunts. Shakers weren't into that shit.). Then again, they might dig the taps-y choir. Whatever, we're into this song ... again, an epic autobiographical anthem. Additionally, "Troublemaker," "Heart Songs," and "Thought I Knew" have shown their rock 'n' roll faces. Yes, Red has sprung a leak.
